President of Uber India and South Asia, Prabhjeet Singh has resigned after completing a decade-long period and he played an important role in shaping the growing strategy in one of the most vital global markets.

Uber has announced that Prabhjeet Singh who was President of Uber India and South Asia, has stepped down from his position and with this it brings the end of a ten-year-long period for the firm.
The company’s spokesperson has acknowledged Prabhjeet’s contributions, and it described India as one of the important global market for the company and a driver of innovation and long-term growth.
The company has also credited Singh for a strong business foundation and thanked him for his leadership during the decade-long rapid expansion.
Journey of Prabhjeet at Uber
Prabhjeet Singh joined Uber in 2015 August as a General Manager and head of Strategy for India.
With these leadership skills he took charge of Uber’s India and South Asia operations and in June 2020, he was appointed as the President of the regional business.
Before he joined Uber, he worked as an Associate Partner at Mackinsey & Company. He gained the extensive experience in the business strategy and consulting.
Major Achievements During his Tenure
Under Singh’s leadership, Uber has significantly expanded its footprint across India.
Uber strengthened the its position in Tier-II and Tier-III cities and made it accessible for the larger customer base.
The company also broadened the services such as, Uber Moto, Uber Auto, Intercity Travel and Multi-Modal Mobile Solutions.
Uber has also enhanced collaboration with drivers and fleet operators via partnerships with companies such as the Everest Fleet which improved the vehicle availability and operational efficiency.
Also one of the important initiatives taken under his leadership was the integration of the metro booking ticket into the Uber app.
