Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Gandhinagar Premier League

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Gandhinagar Premier League (GPL) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The event, graced by the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel among other dignitaries, marks a pivotal step towards enhancing grassroots cricket and fostering local talent across the nation. Hardik Pandya, an India all-rounder, was spotted with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the Gandhinagar Premier League’s launch.

During the inauguration, Amit Shah accentuated the Sansad Khelkood Mahotsav, an initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which witnessed participation from over 137,000 players in 42 sports disciplines. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to inculcating sports values among children and promoting sports at a grassroots level. Amit Shah’s call to Members of Parliament to organize similar events is a testament to the drive to popularize sports across the country.

The Gandhinagar Premier League stands out as a monumental event with the participation of 1,078 cricket teams, showcasing the fervent enthusiasm for cricket in Gandhinagar.
