Indian Railways has successfully completed the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). With this completion it marks the major milestone in the country’s infrastructure development. • In the Union Budget 2026-27 Honorable Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a new freight corridor from Dankuni (West Bengal) to Surat (Gujarat).
