Currently world No. 1 Jannik Sinner has successfully defended his Wimbledon title by defeating Alexander Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the 2026 final.
The win marked Sinner’s second consecutive Wimbledon championship and his fifth Grand Slam singles title overall.
After become the first Italian to lift the Wimbledon men’s singles trophy in the year 2025, Sinner extended his historic run by becoming the only Italian player to win the prestigious title more than once.
For Zverev, the final marked his maiden appearance in a Wimbledon championship match, but he fell short of to capturing his second Grand Slam title.
