This initiative is known as the Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Program. It involves the investment of $299.66 million. It will be aims to address rising air pollution through integrated solutions across key sectors.
Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Program Overview
The UP Clean Air Management Program is designed to address the air pollution through various actions across multiple sectors of the economy.
This initiative focused on the reducing emissions from transport, agriculture and industrial activities.
In which they are among the main contributors to air pollution in Uttar Pradesh.
Under this program nearly 200 new air quality monitoring stations will be installed across the state.

This traditional brick kiln technologies often release large amounts of particulate matter and harmful gases into the atmosphere.
Under the new UP Clean Air Management Program and more than 700 brick kilns will transition to resource efficient and cleaner technologies.
These improved technologies will reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency in the brick manufacturing sector.
Regional Air Quality Management in the Indo Gangetic Plains
The Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Program is part of the broader regional initiative supported by the World Bank known as the Regional Air Quality Management Program in the Indo Gangetic Plains and Himalayan Foothills (IGP-HF).
The Indo Gangetic Plains are considered one of the world’s most severe air pollution hotspots.
By improving air quality management in the Uttar Pradesh and the program is expected to create positive environmental impacts that extend to neighboring states.
Project Duration and Financial Structure
