INS Srishti: Goa Shipyard Launches Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel

Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) floated off the water the INS Srishti (Yard 1283), a Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel (NGOPV) for the Indian Navy, on October 27, 2026, from its Vaddem Yard, Goa. The floating-off ceremony was a major construction event as India continues to boost its capability to build indigenous naval ships. Offshore patrol vessels aid the Navy in keeping an eye on their maritime zones and protect offshore infrastructure, and to respond to emergencies at sea.
