He achieved the milestone during Portugal’s dominant 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo also became the highest goalscorer for the Portugal in the World Cup after scoring two goals in the FIFA World Cup 2026 aginst Uzbekistan.
The sixth-minute opener was Ronaldo’s ninth for his country in the quadrennial event, putting him level with Portuguese legend Eusebio who scored nine.
The all-time leading goal scorer in the history of the international football then added another goal in the 39th minute.
