- APSEZ has acquired a 95% stake in Gopalpur Port.
- The deal includes an equity value of Rs 1,349 crore and an enterprise value of Rs 3,080 crore.
2. Stakeholders Involved:
- Shapoorji Pallonji Group (SP Group) and Orissa Stevedores Ltd (OSL) were the previous majority stakeholders in Gopalpur Port.
- SP Group held a 56% stake, while OSL held a 44% stake in the port.
3. Transaction Breakdown:
- APSEZ has entered into definitive agreements to acquire SP Group’s entire 56% shareholding and 39% of OSL’s stake in Gopalpur Port Ltd (GPL).
- OSL will retain a 5% stake and continue as a joint venture partner.

- Gopalpur Port is an all-weather deep-water berthing port with a capacity of handling 20 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of cargo volume.
