Ayodhya Ram Mandir Ritual- Commencing the Sacred Rituals
The inauguration ceremonies for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir are set to unfold, commencing today with the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, a sacred ritual extending over seven days. The formal pre-Praan Pratishtha sacraments are scheduled from January 16 to 21, leading up to the highly anticipated consecration of Shri Ram Lalla on January 22.

Preparations for this momentous event are in full swing, with expectations of over 8,000 guests on the consecration day. Devotees are expected to surge in numbers from January 23, as the atmosphere brims with spiritual fervor.
Prime Minister’s Presence
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the occasion, attending the Ram Temple consecration ceremony on January 22. The auspicious ceremony involves placing the idol in its designated position in the ‘Garbh Griha’ of the temple on January 18.
Ayodhya Ram Mandir 7-day Ritual – Full Schedule
January 16-21: Atonement and Rituals
The designated host will conduct the atonement ceremony, featuring the ‘Dashvidh’ bath, Vishnu worship, and offerings to cows along the sacred Saryu River.
January 17: Procession of Ram Lalla
A grand procession will carry the idol of Lord Ram in his child-like form (Ram Lalla) to Ayodhya. Devotees will bear Saryu water in Mangal Kalash en route to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
January 18: Formal Rituals Begin
Ganesh Ambika puja, Varun puja, Matrika puja, Brahmin Varan, and Vastu puja mark the formal initiation of rituals.
January 19: Lighting of the Holy Fire
The lighting of the holy fire will be followed by the establishment of ‘Navagraha’ and a ‘havan’ ceremony.
January 20: Sanctum Sanctorum Cleansing
The sanctum sanctorum of the temple will be washed with the holy water of Saryu, followed by Vaastu peace and Annadhivas rituals.
January 21: Divine Bath and Culmination
A divine bath with 125 urns will take place, culminating in Shayadhivas, where the Ram Lalla idol is bathed and laid to rest.
January 22: Consecration Day
Morning puja and the consecration of the Ram Lalla deity in ‘Mrigashira Nakshatra’ during the afternoon Pran Pratishtha at 12:20 p.m., followed by an ‘aarti’.
