The response sheets were made available by IIT Kanpur on February 15 and the provisional answer key was made available on February 21. About GATE Exam 2023

• The GATE 2023 question bank contained 1 and 2 mark questions.
• Regarding the scoring system, there was a negative marking for selecting the incorrect response in an MCQ.
• A bad answer for a 1-mark MCQ resulted in a deduction of 1/3 of the mark. Similar to the 2-mark MCQ, a wrong answer resulted in a 2/3 loss of marks.
• Almost 200 cities in eight zones participated in the GATE 2023.
• The results are acceptable for admission to NITs and IISCs.
