In a landmark initiative for India’s tech future, global technology leaders IBM and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop the Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati. At the heart of this futuristic facility will be India’s most powerful quantum computer—IBM’s 156-qubit Heron processor—marking a significant step in India’s aspiration to become a global quantum hub under the National Quantum Mission.

The collaboration was announced in May 2025 and is notable for being the first-of-its-kind quantum technology park in India.
