India to Host UN Troop Contributing Countries Chiefs’ Conclave in Delhi

From 14 to 16 October 2025, the Indian Army is hosting the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries’ (UNTCC) Chiefs’ Conclave in New Delhi. This significant three-day event brings together military leaders from 32 countries that play a vital role in UN peacekeeping operations. The conclave seeks to address operational challenges, enhance cooperation, and promote collective understanding in peacekeeping missions around the globe.

India’s Role and the Conclave’s Objectives

India is one of the largest troop-contributing countries to UN peacekeeping missions, with a long-standing history of commitment to global peace and security. This conclave provides a platform for dialogue on,

  • Evolving global threats to peacekeeping missions

  • Capacity building through shared training and resources
  • Strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation

Structure of the Conclave

Plenary Sessions & High-Level Dialogues

Senior defence officials, including Chiefs and Heads of Delegations, will participate in focused discussions on logistics, security, interoperability, and tactical innovations in peacekeeping.

Capacity Building & Cultural Engagement

The conclave includes defence exhibitions, showcasing India’s indigenous technologies and peacekeeping equipment. Additionally, bilateral meetings and cultural exchange events are scheduled to foster deeper diplomatic and military cooperation.

The conclave features participation from 32 countries, including,

  • Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, France, Ghana, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Senegal, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Uruguay, Vietnam.
  • It is important to note that Pakistan and China are not among the invited nations, reflecting India’s strategic approach in selecting partner countries based on alignment and operational experience.
