On June 17, 2025, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) reported that Indian researchers had published findings in the Nature group journal Communications Chemistry, showcasing a new one-step colloidal synthesis method for gold semi-shells (SS) with nano-cup morphology. This development marks a significant milestone in the application of photothermal therapy for treating advanced cancers, especially breast tumors.
