The International Day of Yoga (IDY) is celebrated every year on 21st June, following the United Nations General Assembly’s (UNGA) official proclamation on 11th December 2014. This global recognition came in response to India’s proposal, emphasizing Yoga’s role in promoting health, peace, and well-being.
Since its first celebration in 2015, each IDY has been guided by a unique annual theme. These themes highlight Yoga’s relevance to the global community, especially in addressing pressing challenges like health crises, environmental concerns, and emotional well-being.
