The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched two new digital platforms two new digital platforms on 21st May, 2026. This two platforms are the JEEVAN mobile application and the SHATAYU Geriatric Caregiver Dashboard. This initiative aims to improve the safety, healthcare access, caregiving support and social inclusion for senior citizens across the country. It was launched by the Union Minister Dr Virendra Kumar.
Government Launches JEEVAN App for Senior Citizens
The government has introduced the JEEVAN app, which stands for the Joint Elderly Empowerment & Virtual Assistance Network.
This dedicated mobile platform has been also designed specifically for the senior citizens.
Its main objective is to improve the access to welfare services, emergency support, healthcare information and social assistance through a single digital platform.
The initiative also seeks to make elderly care more accessible, efficient and citizen-friendly.

The JEEVAN app will offers the multiple support services for senior citizens.

Alongside with the JEEVAN app, the ministry has also launched the SHATAYU Dashboard.
SHATAYU stands for the Senior Holistic Care Assistance and Training For Your Utility.
This platform has been created to support the India’s growing geriatric caregiving ecosystem.
It focuses on to strengthening the elderly care services through better caregiver access and information support.

The SHATAYU dashboard will provides a practical caregiving support.
