MP Government Makes E-Attendance Mandatory for School Teachers from July 1

In a major step toward enhancing transparency and accountability in school administration, the Madhya Pradesh government has made it compulsory for all teachers in government schools to mark their attendance digitally starting 1 July 2025. This will be done through the ‘Humare Shikshak’ platform, an e-governance tool integrated with the state’s Education 3.0 portal.

Why in News?

The directive comes after the official launch of the ‘Humare Shikshak’ platform on 23 June 2025, and aims to tighten administrative oversight in the education sector by mandating digital attendance for lakhs of teachers and staff across Madhya Pradesh.

Attendance Window

• Must be marked within 1 hour of school start time.
• Can be marked up to 30 minutes after school ends.

Leave Policy

• Failure to mark attendance will result in automatic deduction of half a day’s casual leave, adjusted from annual or optional leave.

• Ensure real-time monitoring of teacher attendance.
