Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Launch 'Apnapan' with Personal Insights on PM Modi

Honorable Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced his upcoming book ‘Apnapan’. This book will feature a deeply personal account which is based on his 35 year long association with the Honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The book promises the rare insights into PM Modi’s leadership style, political thinking, governance approach and personal values. His book will be launched on May 26, 2026 in New Delhi.

What Is ‘Apnapan’ and Why Is It Making Headlines?

Apnapan is not being presented as just another political memoir. According to Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan this book reflects decades of direct experiences, observations and the lessons learned while working alongside Narendra Modi in organizational politics, state governance and Union-level administration.

From Ekta Yatra to National Leadership

One of the most important parts of the story is Chouhan’s recollection of the 1991 Ekta Yatra, which marked the beginning of his close association with PM Narendra Modi.

At that time many saw the movement as a political campaign. However the Chouhan says Modi viewed it differently, as a movement to awaken national consciousness.

The mission went beyond hoisting the Indian tricolour at Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

According to Chouhan the larger objective was to inspire patriotism, commitment and a sense of the national unity among India’s youth.
