Willie Walsh Officially Assumes Charge as IndiGo CEO
Willie Walsh has become the CEO of IndiGo Air. IndiGo Air reported this news to the press after the announcement of his appointment made on March 31, 2026.
He was appointed only 20 days after the sudden resignation of Pieter Elbers, making his tenure end after some significant disruptions faced by the airline in December 2025.
As the CEO, Walsh will be responsible for the management of the airline and its long-term strategic planning and he will pursue plans for globalization.
