Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark a six day visit to France and Slovakia from 13th June, 2026. In this high level meet he will hold the bilateral meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, alongside participate in the G7 Summit and will also attend the Europe’s largest technology event VivaTech. With this visit he will try to strengthened the India’s strategic partnerships across Europe.
PM Modi’s Europe Visit: Key Highlights
The six-day visit will cover the multiple high-profile engagements across the France and Slovakia.
This tour is divided into four major segments which includes the bilateral talks in France, a historic State Visit to Slovakia, participation in to the G7 Summit and attendance at the VivaTech Summit in Paris.
The visit reflects the India’s commitment to strengthening the partnerships with European nations while expanding cooperation in areas such as technology, innovation, trade, investment, defense and global governance.
Bilateral Meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron
In the first phase of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will travel to the Nice, France and he will hold the bilateral discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron.
This two leaders are expected to review the full spectrum of India-France relations which were elevated to the Special Global Strategic Partnership earlier this year.
Multiple discussions are likely to cover the defense cooperation, technology, clean energy, artificial intelligence, space collaboration, trade and global strategic issues.
Bharat Innovates Event to Showcase Startup Collaboration
Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will jointly inaugurate the “Bharat Innovates” event in the Nice.
This event will bring together the leading startups, innovators, entrepreneurs, venture capital funds and technology leaders from India, France and other countries.
Set to organized during the India-France Year of Innovation and this initiative aims to strengthen the innovation-led cooperation and foster partnerships between emerging technology ecosystems.
This event is expected to create new opportunities for startups working in the sectors such as,

Historic State Visit to Slovakia
From 14th to 16th June, 2026 Prime Minister Modi will undertake a State Visit to the Slovak Republic.
The visit is historic because it will be the first ever visit by the any Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since the country got independence in the year 1993.
This visit follows a series of high-level exchanges between the two nations including President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Slovakia in the year 2025 and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini’s visit to India earlier this year.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to hold the multiple talks with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and meet President Peter Pellegrini to explore the new avenues of cooperation.
Participation in the G7 Summit
Prime Minister Modi will also participate in the G7 Summit in Evian, France on June 16 and 17.
This summit will bring together the leaders of major advanced economies along with invited partner countries and international organizations.
