The Indian Army has released the special commemorative video which marks the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor which one of the India’s significant cross-border counter-terror operations in recent years. The video was released in the early hours of 7th May, 2026 exactly after one year of operation was launched against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK). This military action was carried out in response to the deadly Pahalgam Terror Attack on 22nd April, 2026.
What Was Operation Sindoor?
Operation Sindoor was the coordinated military strike which was launched by India during the early hours of May 7, 2025.
The operation has targeted the nine terror camps which are linked to major terrorist organizations operating from Pakistan and PoK.
With in the approximately 25 minutes the Indian forces reportedly struck the terror infrastructure associated with groups such as,
- Lashkar-e-Taiba
- Jaish-e-Mohammed
- Hizbul Mujahideen
According to official reports and security assessments more than 100 terrorists were neutralized during the strike.
This operation is widely regarded as one of the India’s most strategically coordinated military responses against the cross-border terrorism.
Background: The Pahalgam Terror Attack
Operation Sindoor was launched after the horrific terror attack in the Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. Also the terrorists reportedly infiltrated the tourist area in Kashmir and killed 26 Indian nationals in an attack which aims to creating communal unrest and destabilizing the region.
The Indian authorities has blamed the Pakistan backed terror groups for orchestrating the attack.
This incident had triggered nationwide outrage and intensified calls for strong counter-terror measures.
Operation Sindoor was presented by the the government as a focused and strategic response against terrorist infrastructure.

The Operation Sindoor anniversary video was released by the Indian Army opens with a speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he declares that India will ‘identify, track and eliminate terrorists and their backers.’
