Govt Approves Greenfield Airports in Kota and Puri for Enhanced Connectivity

In a significant boost to India’s aviation infrastructure, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu has given in-principle approval for the establishment of Greenfield airports in Kota (Rajasthan) and Puri (Odisha) on May 5, 2025. These projects are expected to play a transformative role in enhancing air connectivity, promoting tourism, and supporting regional economic growth in both educational and pilgrimage hubs of India.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation approved two new Greenfield airports in Kota and Puri, reflecting the Government’s strategic focus on expanding aviation infrastructure across the country. This move is aligned with the UDAN scheme and aims to cater to the increasing air travel demand in underserved regions.
