Haryana Government’s Initiative for NRIs: Redressal and Investment Cells

In response to the needs of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), the Haryana government has established two specialized cells to address their concerns and facilitate investments. These cells, announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar during the Pravasi Haryana Divas 2017, aim to streamline grievance resolution and investment processes for NRIs.

Redressal Cell for NRIs

Headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), this cell focuses on addressing complaints from NRIs. It ensures prompt resolution of grievances and has field units in every police district for easier accessibility. NRIs can reach out through a dedicated helpline number and email provided by the government.

Investment Facilitation Cell

This cell, aimed at facilitating investments and gathering suggestions from NRIs, serves as a platform for addressing investment-related queries. Kartik Das, designated as the contact person, provides assistance via email, phone, and through the official website for investment-related inquiries.

Government’s Ease of Doing Business Efforts

In alignment with its commitment to ease of doing business, the Haryana government has undertaken significant reforms, amending over 300 laws, rules, and procedures within a short span. These efforts are geared towards positioning Haryana among the top five states in India for ease of doing business, as recognized by the World Bank’s rankings.
