IITM Pune Unveils Startup Hub for Weather and Climate Innovation

Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Pune has launched a dedicated startup incubation centre which is focused on weather and climate innovation. This inauguration was held alongside with the national Weather and Climate Innovation Meet for Startups and Entrepreneurs (WISE 2026).

What IITM Pune’s New Climate Incubation Centre Means

The newly launched incubation centre is designed to support the different startups working in weather technology, climate analytics, forecasting applications and climate resilience tools.

It is being developed under the National Enterprise for Atmospheric Technology (NEAT) which is a major innovation vertical under the Ministry of Earth Sciences Mission Mausam initiative.
