In a significant boost to India’s artificial intelligence ecosystem, Microsoft and Yotta Data Services have announced a strategic partnership to support AI adoption across the country. This collaboration will integrate Microsoft Azure’s AI services with Yotta’s Shakti Cloud platform, aiming to strengthen domestic AI capabilities and digital infrastructure.

Strengthening India’s AI Infrastructure Through Collaboration

This initiative aligns closely with the IndiaAI Mission, a flagship government programme under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The mission is focused on building a robust AI ecosystem within the country, and as of May 2025, it has received over 500 proposals for the development of indigenous AI models.

By combining Microsoft’s advanced AI models and tools with Yotta’s high-performance AI compute infrastructure, the partnership aims to offer powerful and accessible AI services to a wide range of users — including:
