India’s Second Smallest National Park – Fossil National Park

Establishment: 1983

Area: 0.27 sq. km

The Fossil National Park is located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in the district of Mandla. It majorly contains plan fossils of vegetation that is said to be around 40 to 150 million years old. The fossils displayed here are collected from the surrounding villages of Chanti-hills, Ghughua, Deorakhurd, Deori Kohani, Barbaspur, Umaria and Charagaon.
