Bharat Khera Appointed Secretary of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

Mr. Bharat Khera has assumed charge as the Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He is the 1995-batch IAS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre and he brings over the three decades of governance experience across the crucial sectors. He will play the important role to strengthen the MSME sector as the MSME sector contributes over the 30% to India’s GDP which paly the central role to country’s economic growth.

The appointment of the Bharat Khera to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises marks the important leadership change to strengthened the MSME ecosystem.

Earlier he served as Additional Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs and have gained the valuable experience in policy implementation and consumer protection frameworks.
