Akash Tripathi Appointed to Key Digital Governance Leadership Roles

Akash Tripathi, a 1998-batch IAS officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Digital India Corporation (DIC) and President/Chief Executive Officer (P&CEO) of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD). 

Dual Appointment

• Akash Tripathi has been appointed as MD/CEO of Digital India Corporation (DIC) and P&CEO of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
• The proposal for his dual role was approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Tenure Details

• Tripathi’s tenure at DIC will last for six months or until a permanent appointment is made.
• His tenure at NeGD is set to continue until August 18, 2024.
