FSSAI Regulates Healthy and Organic Food Claims on Packaged Foods

The Global Wind Day conference will be hosted in Goa, bringing together stakeholders including the Central Electricity Authority, Solar Energy Corporation of India, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, National Institute of Wind Energy, and Grid Controller of India along with state governments and industry representatives. India’s wind energy potential is estimated at 695.5 GW at 120 metres hub height and 1,163.9 GW at 150 metres, concentrated across major states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana. Installed wind capacity has grown from 21.04 GW in 2014 to 56.09 GW in 2026, making India the world’s fourth-largest wind energy producer, with 28 GW of projects under development and a record 6.05 GW added in 2025–26. Domestic manufacturing capacity has expanded to 24 GW with 70–80% indigenisation, reducing import dependence. India is also advancing offshore wind development in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, supported by international cooperation with countries such as the UK, Belgium, and Denmark. These efforts align with India’s broader roadmap toward a 100 GW wind energy future and a more stable, clean energy grid.
