Samrat Choudhary sworn in as the New Chief minister of the Bihar and created the history by becoming the first CM from BJP. He taken the oath after the Nitish Kumar has resigned from the post. The oath-taking ceremony was held in the Patna and it was attended by the several senior leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Also the two other leaders from the Janta Dal United has sworn in as the Deputy CM post.

Historic Shift For The BJP & Samrat Chaudhary
For the first time in the Bihar’s political history BJP will step into the leadership role of state rather than alliance partner.
As the state will get the first BJP Chief Minister after the resignation of Nitish Kumar. Though the BJP have deputy CMs in the state but they were never been to the helm of the State’s CM post.
While JDU will provide the support to BJP as they are the part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) group.
End of Nitish Kumar Era
The resignation of CM Nitish Kumar brings the end to the political era which have shaped Bihar for nearly two decades. Nitish Kumar also the longest serving CM of the state.
Nitish Kumar was known for his governance reforms and the master of the coalition politics and his exit leaves the leadership vacuum in the Janata Dal (United) JDU.
With this it is also marking that future generations of JDU will take the center stage of the State’s politics.
Who Is Samrat Chaudhary?
Samrat Chaudhary is the prominent Other Backward Class (OBC) leader and he is currently serves as the Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister.
His elevation to the CM will strengthen the social base ahead of upcoming elections.
He began his political career with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the 1990s under leadership of the Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Over the years he transformed himself across political platforms and he emerged as the key BJP leader in Bihar.
He had also served as the Agriculture Minister in the Rabri Devi government in 1999.
