Haveri district in Karnataka is known as the Land of Cardamom or Elaichi. This district has earned its name due to its unique connection with cardamom and its aromatic products like cardamom and garlands. Let’s explore why Haveri is so special.

Cardamom Production in Haveri

Although the district is famous for its cardamom garlands, cardamom farming has declined in recent years due to a decrease in the number of growers. However, cardamom trade remains important. Traders in Haveri process and sell cardamoms from the Malnad region.
