Respectable Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has launched the ₹15,803 crore Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) project in the Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district. This mega defense initiative is expected to acclerate the India’s ambitions of building a fifth generation stealth fighter aircraft.
What Is the AMCA Project and Why It Matters
The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is India’s one of the most ambitious defense aviation program.
This facility developed to create an indigenous fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft and placing the India among a small group of nations who have advanced combat aircraft development capabilities.
The project is led by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) under the Defense Research and Development Organisation.
The aircraft features the advanced stealth technology, next-generation avionics, high survivability and the superior combat capability.

The infrastructure project will be developed across the nearly 650 acres in Puttaparthi which is located in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district.
