Ministry Of Education Announces Launch Of Smart India Hackathon-2023

With a vast network comprising more than 7500 Innovation Institutes spanning the nation, SIH is a breeding ground for unconventional solutions and fresh perspectives.

Since its establishment in 2017, the initiation of the Smart India Hackathon has marked a significant milestone. It has evolved into a global exemplar of a Hackathon and innovation framework, embodying its dynamic progression over time. The array of themes embraced by this Hackathon reflects its diversity, spanning from agriculture and health tech to transportation and even extending beyond these domains.

The Smart India Hackathon represents the joint efforts of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The Hackathon brings together a remarkable collection of 239 problem statements, comprising 182 software challenges and 57 hardware challenges. The participation of 26 Central Ministries, 6 State Ministries, and 4 Industry partners underscores the holistic approach to addressing multifaceted challenges through innovative collaboration.
