President Droupadi Murmu, upon her arrival in Leh for her first two-day visit to Ladakh, participated in the 5th Union Territory Foundation Day ceremony held at Sindu Sanskriti Kendra. During this event, she underscored the historical significance of the day, as in 2019, Ladakh was designated as a Union Territory. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to visit Ladakh and partake in the festivities marking this momentous day.

A Day at the Siachen Base Camp

The highlight of President Murmu’s visit was her expedition to the Siachen base camp, nestled in the rugged terrain of the Nubra Valley.
